ON MISSION CELEBRATION

Since Saturday I have been in deep East Texas at the On Mission Celebration.  Nearly sixty churches have been participating, hosting twenty people working in missions in some capacity.  By this evening I will have spoken five times to seven different churches.

My message for them has been about how they can be involved in church planting.  Church planting was not necessarily on their radar, but they have responded really well to my encouragement.  

I have enjoyed getting to spend time here.  Deep East Texas looks very much like where I grew up in Southwest Arkansas.  One of the churches I spoke at reminded me of my own home church.

But, I gotta say, I sure will be happy to be back home to my sweetheart and the kids.
